Every year thousands of poor individuals and needy families seek assistance and the valuable legal skills of pro bono attorneys in a variety of issues ranging from drafting of power of attorneys and simple wills to more complex matters such as: bankruptcy and divorce.
Because this is a volunteer program, it may take several months before an attorney is available to help you. Free legal services agencies will assist qualifying individuals and organizations in non-criminal cases only. For criminal defense call the Public Defenders office in your state.
